Could hypnosis or hypnotherapy cure my tinnitus?

For a few months now I have suffered from mild tinnitus. A small noise that is fine during the day when there is noise around, but would wake my up at night.
I have done some hearing tests and it concluded that I have a very small amount of hearing loss. The report says that I have an almost average hearing loss compared to many people. Probably I from listening to loud concert music when I was younger. However that ringing always left after a few days. Now it just sticked. I have read online that there is ways to treat or reduce this.

I understand that this hiss is coming from my brain, so shouldn't hypnotherapy help reprogram this?

Did anyone try HYPNOSIS to cure this? Any input would be appreciated.

If anyone helps me reduce this I will pay out the reward.

Thanks

Yes, I did! I got tinnitus when I had my ears syringed as they were still blocked up weeks later since the flu a couple of years ago. When I say I "got" it, I mean I always had it mild, but it got much much worse after that. Tried numerous things, including hypnosis. It was a relaxing experience, but overall made no difference, at the time, or afterwards. It was 3 30 minute sessions for $200. Full of positive messages, so probably worth doing - but didn't address any high pitch noises or 'wind howling'. The only thing I can say that does something is reducing caffiene. Sounds stupid, but on a manic day in the office with more than 10 coffee's it got worse. I'm not giving up coffee for anything on the planet, but knocking down the amount of caffiene makes it never reach the 'JEEZ THIS IS ANNOYING' status. Hope that helps.
